Meet the Cetis team.

John Grubb, Senior Vice President of Marketing. A Cetis/Scitec team member since 1998.

Q: When did you join the Cetis team?
​A: I was hired in August 1998 to initiate a marketing program for Scitec, Inc., however, I had previously worked with Dr. Sun on marketing and sales-related projects dating back to 1993. At Scitec I spent mornings learning our product line, and making outbound sales calls in the company call center, and afternoons creating and publishing marketing materials at Scitec Speed.
Q: What is your role with Cetis today?
A: I serve as Senior Vice President of Marketing. Our team plans and implements our global marketing programs, and provides support to the Cetis sales teams.
Q: What do you like about Cetis? What keeps you here?
A: The boss. Dr. Sun is unique as a leader. He expects for things to get done at Scitec Speed, but is also very affable, open, and receptive to new ideas. And because he continues to view marketing as an investment rather than an expense, we continue to succeed where others often fail. One of the highlights of my time at Cetis has been working with Dr. Sun to write and publish his life story. Life Series began as a blog on the Cetis website, and has now been published worldwide via Hotel-Online, LinkedIn, and soon in ebook format. Renamed One Mountain At A Time. in print format, it's a remarkable story of how Dr. Sun overcame the mountains of hunger, poverty, and ridicule to achieve academic, scientific, and business success.
Q: What do you do when you’re not working?
A: My passion is reading and studying the Bible. And I enjoy spending time with my family, and working along with my wife to help encourage and support elderly residents in our neighborhood. Because we heat our home with wood, we're also typically cutting, splitting, and stacking wood for the winter this time of year. It's tough work, but great exercise, and companionship.
