Meet the Cetis team. Brock Munsell, Chief Technology Officer. A Cetis team member since 2009. Q: How long have you been employed by Cetis? A: I started in September of 2009. So coming up on 7 years. Q: What is your role at Cetis today? A: I'm Chief Technology Officer. I oversee our corporate IT, new product development, and product management. I work very closely with all teams within Cetis. Q: What do you like about Cetis? A: I like that our company is so close. We all care about each other and our customers. I also like that we provide products that enhance people's business and leisure travel. Early in my career I traveled extensively for business and only after I came to work here I realized that our products helped me tremendously during that time. At that time I was responsible for setting up and holding franchise meetings and training sessions all over the world, so I had to interact with hotel staff constantly, and the easiest way to do that was with the room phone. Q: What’s kept you here all these years? A: Definitely the people, starting with Dr. Bing Sun, Cetis Founder & CEO. When I first came to Cetis I didn't meet Bing right away, and after about 30 days I wasn't sure if this was a good fit, and was ready to leave. After my first meeting with him, however, I knew Cetis was where I wanted to be, and decided to stay on. I can not say enough good things about the entire team here at Cetis that make it happen each and every day. Q: What do you do when you’re not working? A: We have two dogs and 12 chickens, so that keeps us pretty busy. But because my wife and I love adventure, our main pastime is riding off-road motorcycles, mostly in Colorado, but we do get over into Utah and down to Arizona when the snow flies. We also mountain bike, hike, and ski, and enjoy reading and watching movies. Meet the Cetis team. Amanda Roth, Assistant Director Operations. A Cetis/TeleMatrix team member since 1999. Q: How long have you been employed by Cetis? A: 17 years! I was hired by TeleMatrix (now part of Cetis) in June 1999. Q: What was your job function in the early years with the company? A: In 1999, I began working in the production department, programming the guest service keys on telephones. Within a year, I was transferred to the repair customer service department. From there, I moved on to customer service. Q: What is your role today? A: Assistant Director of Operations. Q: What do you like about Cetis? What’s kept you here all these 17 years? A: Mainly, it's the people, and the camaraderie. It is, and always has been, a close knit organization. Because you work closely with so many people in the company you build special relationships with them. I mean, face it, I'm at work more than I'm at home. Enjoying my co-workers is crucial. In addition, Cetis has always taken care of me and my family in that they offer many perks such as paid holidays, benefits, 401K, etc. They care about their employees. In a competitive and challenging global market, it's easy for company leaders to sometimes forget to recognize employees. With Cetis, that has never been a worry. Q: What do you do when you’re not working? A: I love to play volleyball, ride my ATV, play in my garden and watch movies. On top of that, I have a 15 year old daughter who is very involved in volleyball and band. She keeps me more than busy. Meet the Cetis team. Douglas Tjong, Sales Director, Asia-Pacific. A Cetis (formerly Teledex) team member since 1997. Q: How long have you been employed by Cetis? A: I began my hospitality industry career in 1997 when I was named the first General Manager for the South Asia region for Teledex (now part of Cetis), including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand. Q: What was your job function in the early years with Cetis/Teledex? A: My earlier functions involved sales and channel partner development across the Asia-Pacific region. It was one of the most exciting and challenging times in my career, as I started almost from scratch and often felt overwhelmed by the diversity in the Asia region where nearly every country speaks different languages, has different cultures, and different ways of doing business and market practices. My previous experience as Country General Sales Manager with Nortel (now part of Avaya) for Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, also helped me to introduce and develop Cetis hotel phone brands, which today are the most recognized and endorsed across the entire region. Q: What is your role with Cetis today? A: My key role now is to continue growing Cetis business in the region through partnership arrangements at the local in-country level, and maintaining our Malaysia Distribution Center and support facilities to effectively serve Cetis end-user customers, and ensure availability of Cetis products in every country. Q: What do you like about Cetis? What’s kept you here all these years? A: Cetis is truly a global company. We are close to the market, and close to our customers. And because we approach the region with a long term view, we seek practical, cost effective solutions to ensuring on-time delivery and true value to our customers. In fact, because many of our long-term customers recognize Cetis value, we have continued many years of partnership - this is what I like about Cetis!
